2024 Evergreen Award Recognizes the National Alliance of Forest Owners

This past summer, at GFA’s Annual Conference & Forestry Expo in Savannah, we were pleased to recognize an organization that has truly embodied the mission of the Georgia Forestry Association and Foundation, in keeping Georgia as the leading forestry state in the nation. This year the Evergreen Award was presented to National Alliance of Forest Owners.

Dave Tenny, NAFO’s President and CEO, received the award. NAFO is an advocacy organization committed to advancing federal policies that ensure our working forests provide clean air, clean water, wildlife habitat and jobs through sustainable practices and strong markets.

“Organizations that work on a national level and connect Georgia forestry to the forestry communities across the country are integral to a unified mission of protecting America’s working forests,” stated GFA Senior Vice President, Matt Hestad, “NAFO is a powerful partner in this mission and we are grateful for their shared dedication to keep Georgia’s forests working.”

We look forward to another year of working with outstanding forestry community members who are on the same mission to keep Georgia as the #1 forestry state in the nation. To learn more, visit gfagrow.org.
