This November, Georgia voters will have the opportunity to approve an ad valorem tax exemption for owners of equipment used for reforestation or timber harvesting and production. Thanks to support from several member companies, GFA is developing a communications campaign to educate Georgia voters on the importance of the forestry economy and the small businesses who are its driving force.
GFA’s Communications Team recently travelled across the state, capturing video interviews with GFA loggers and land managers who will be impacted by the November Referendum. The video content will support the Association’s campaign targeted at Georgia voters, media outlets and influencers across the state. GFA leadership plans to officially launch the campaign at the 2022 Annual Conference on July 30.
