Georgia Forestry Magazine Highlights National Tree Farmer of the Year

Georgia Forestry Association members receive Georgia Forestry Magazine four times per year. The magazine brings together writers and leaders from the Georgia Forestry Association, Georgia Forestry Commission and Georgia Sustainable Forestry Initiative, and the dynamic content is focused on keeping you connected to resources and empowered to make good decisions about your forestland asset.

On the cover: Meet Heather Brasell as we follow her journey as an environmental steward that has been rewarded the 2024 National Tree Farmer of the Year by the American Tree Farm System.

In this issue:

  • We recap the 2024 Forestry Day at the Capitol event with knowledge from experts on the future of our forest economy.
  • We focus on the need for workforce in Georgia’s next generation of students and teachers
  • Heather Brasell tells her story behind her love of forestry, her tree farm and her passion for forestry education.
