Georgia Forestry Association Welcomes Jaci Martin as Membership Director

Martin brings policy, agriculture and conservation experience to support GFA’s statewide membership growth and grassroots engagement.

FORSYTH — The Georgia Forestry Association is pleased to announce that Jaci Martin has been selected as the Association’s next Membership Director, effective July 6.

Martin currently serves as a Policy Advisor in the Office of Governor Brian P. Kemp, where she has overseen policy areas including agriculture, natural resources, energy, utilities, telecommunications, local government and regulated industries. In that role, she has worked with elected officials, state agencies, industry leaders and constituents while supporting the development and passage of key administration priorities related to regulatory reform and workforce development.

As Membership Director, Martin will lead GFA’s statewide membership growth and engagement efforts, helping connect landowners, forestry businesses, manufacturers, service providers and allied partners to the Association’s advocacy, educationand market development work.

“Jaci brings the right combination of policy experience, relationship-building ability and genuine appreciation for Georgia’s working lands,” said Tim Lowrimore, President & CEO of the Georgia Forestry Association. “As GFA continues growing its membership and strengthening grassroots engagement across the state, Jaci will play an important role in helping our members stay connected, informed and engaged in the issues shaping the future of forestry.”

A Hall County native, Martin served as Student Government President at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College where she received her associates degree.  She then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics with a minor in Food and Fiber Marketing from the University of Georgia’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. While at UGA, she served as the first female Chairman of the University’s Collegiate Ducks Unlimited Chapter.

Martin’s background also includes conservation engagement through organizations such as Ducks Unlimited, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation and Safari Club International, where she gained experience in member engagement, fundraising events and volunteer leadership.

“I have long admired the Georgia Forestry Association and its essential work in sustaining Georgia’s position as the nation’s leading forestry state,” Martin said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to join the GFA team and support the people and businesses who make up Georgia’s forestry community.”

Martin will work closely with GFA staff, volunteer leaders and members across Georgia to strengthen recruitment, retention and grassroots engagement. Her experience in policy and constituent relations will also support GFA’s broader advocacy efforts as the Association continues working to advance private property rights, sensible taxes and regulations, healthy markets and a strong future for Georgia’s forestry sector.

While Jaci’s work days have been spent at the Georgia State Capitol, she spends most of her weekends outdoors with her fiancé, Bradley, and their dog Stetson. Jaci enjoys days spent on the farm, trying new coffee shops, a Saturday in Athens, and time with her friends and family.
