Date: 02/16/2022 from 07:30 am to 05:30 pm
This course has been rescheduled for February 16th, 2022. Thank you for your interest.
Purpose
As deer season comes to a close in January for parts of the Southeast, many outdoor enthusiasts turn their attention to small game species. Small game provides a great opportunity to extend your time in the outdoors and is a great way to engage new and young hunters in an active and exciting pursuit for game. In addition, many landowners and hunting clubs are interested in learning more about enhancing habitat for species such as quail and rabbit to make the most of their small game opportunities. This short course aims to provide technical information about the ecology, habitat, and strategies for hunting small game in the southeast, including outdoor activities and small game habitat field tours. Plan to spend several hours outdoors navigating thick brush with hunting dogs and outdoor apparel (boots) is required.
Who Will Benefit?
Wildlife biologists, forestry professionals including consultants and managers, loggers, hunting clubs, hunters, and landowners interested in small game wildlife management.
