Join us for the Learn and Burn at Paradise PFA— a one-day, hands-on prescribed fire training designed for landowners who desire to use prescribed fire as a land management tool and are interested in learning the basics of safe burning. Participants will take part in a live prescribed burn, gain practical experience using fire tools, and learn directly from experienced fire managers.

Lunch will be provided.

What to Expect

Active participation in a live prescribed burn

Walking on uneven terrain and carrying tools

Requirement to wear natural fiber clothing (cotton, wool, linen, silk) and leather boots

Bring eye protection, leather gloves, a bandana, sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle.

Requirements

All participants must sign a hold-harmless liability waiver on the day of the event.

This is an outdoor, all-day training — come prepared for weather and physical activity.
