Ladies Learn & Burn (Oakfield, GA)
Join us for the Learn & Burn at Red Oaks Plantation — a one-day, hands-on prescribed fire training designed for landowners, natural resource professionals, and beginners interested in learning the basics of safe burning. Participants will take part in a live prescribed burn, gain practical experience using fire tools, and learn directly from experienced fire managers.
Instructions will cover:
- Prescribed burn planning and permitting
- Smoke management and fire weather
- Liability laws and financial resources
- Hands-on practice with drip torches and other tools of the trade
- Opportunities to ask questions and learn from experts
Lunch will be provided.
