Bottoms is an attorney and Democratic politician who served as the 60th mayor of Atlanta from 2018 to 2022. Before being elected in 2017, she was a member of the Atlanta City Council. In June 2022, Bottoms joined the Biden administration as senior advisor and director of the White House Office of Public Engagement. She then served as a member of President Biden’s Export Council.
Jackson is a businessman and Republican candidate for governor. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Jackson Healthcare, one of the nation’s largest healthcare staffing companies. A longtime advocate for workforce development and economic opportunity, Jackson has also served on numerous business, education, and nonprofit boards throughout Georgia.
