The Georgia Forestry Association is proud to welcome two summer interns from the University of Georgia who will be focused on projects that drive value back to GFA members.
Robert Massenburg
Robert joins GFA from the Warnell School of Forestry & Natural Resources at UGA. Growing up in Newnan, GA, he developed a passion for the outdoors through hunting and fishing. He will be working this summer to benchmark leading advocacy organizations throughout the state and study how those organizations political advocacy programs deliver value back to their membership. Robert has a bachelor’s degree in Forestry and is currently working on his master’s degree in Forest Resources. After graduating in 2019, he plans to pursue a career in timberland investments.
Zack Whitwell
Zack recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communications from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at UGA. This summer, he is working to develop a marketing and communications strategy that is focused on promoting civic engagement among GFA members. He is currently pursuing a career in integrated marketing and communications. Zack grew up in Jackson, GA, and his hobbies include hunting, fishing, the outdoors, fitness and movies.
