The Georgia Forestry Association (GFA) is proud to welcome two interns from the University of Georgia for Summer 2021.
Hudson Jordan from St. Marys, Ga., is serving as the Policy and Economics Intern and will primarily focus on a wide range of projects that support the Association’s advocacy mission. Hudson graduated with a BSFR in Forestry in 2019 from the University of Georgia’s Warnell School of Forestry & Natural Resources and is expected to graduate with a MFR in Forestry in December 2021.
“I’m excited to gain a broad perspective of Georgia’s forestry industry,” said Jordan. “Working with GFA is a unique opportunity as I believe we have an obligation to represent the interests of the forest industry from landowners to manufacturers while educating the public on what our industry is about.”
Zach Clifton from Statesboro, Ga., is the Communications and Digital Media Intern and will focus on developing & producing content for various channels, including the Association & Foundation, as well as social media management. Zach graduated in May with a Bachelor’s of Agricultural Communication from the University of Georgia’s College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences.
“I’m relatively new to the forestry industry, but I’m looking forward to bringing a fresh perspective into my internship,” Clifton said. “I’m excited to learn about the industry and discover what I can do to help positively impact it from a communication discipline.”
