Randy Nuckolls has been a long time partner and now senior counsel in the Washington D.C. office of Dentons law firm. He is a member of the Dentons Public Policy and Political Law practice group. Randy is a “Double Dawg” with degrees from the University of Georgia in Agricultural Economics and Law. He has more than forty years of experience working on federal policy issues in Washington D.C. He assists clients in planning government affairs strategies and provides input to Members of Congress and Congressional committees. He works extensively with federal agencies, particularly in the agriculture and natural resource policy area. He provides guidance to numerous clients on federal and state campaign law and lobbying law compliance.

Randy served for ten years in the United States Senate in senior staff positions, first as Legislative Counsel for Georgia Senator Herman Talmadge and then six years as Chief Counsel and Legislative Director for Georgia Senator Sam Nunn. He has served as Washington counsel for corporations, higher education, business and non-profit organizations, including the Forest Landowners Association, and the National Association of University Forest Resources Programs. Randy served for over 30 years as Washington Counsel for the University of Georgia and continues as an active UGA alumnus serving on the Boards of the Richard B. Russell Foundation and the UGA School of Public and International Affairs. He is a Past President of the UGA Law School Council, the Georgia State Society of Washington D.C., past Chairman of the Board of the Atlanta based Society of International Business Fellows, past Chairman of the Georgia 4-H Foundation and current Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Wesley Seminary in Washington D.C. He is a member of Leadership Georgia, has received the outstanding alumni award from the UGA College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, the UGA Blue Key Service Award, and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Georgia 4-H Foundation in 2023.
