Lizann Grupalo

Lizann Grupalo serves as Deputy Commissioner of International Trade at the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD). In this role, she oversees the team that assists the expansion of Georgia’s exports and business growth through increased international sales, supporting a resilient state economy. International Trade’s services include market intelligence, problem-solving consultations, and meaningful connections to key international opportunities.

Prior to her current role, Lizann served as the Director of Business Development at AMI Group in Atlanta. She has extensive experience in international business development and global sales in the food and beverage, hospitality, and aviation industries, bringing a wealth of knowledge in a variety of global settings.

Originally from California, Lizann holds a B.A. from Santa Clara University, and an M.B.A. from the Fisher Graduate School of International Business at Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey. She has studied German, Italian, and Spanish, and enjoys monohull sailing.
